Btw, I make a morning cleansing drink of fresh juiced ginger and apple and add turmeric powder and water to it. The turmeric and ginger and apple all have cancer fighting compounds in them. The turmeric and apple are also anti-inflammatory. The apple also has pectin which is a pre-biotic and helps feed good gut bacteria which aids in nutrient absorption and good health. If you do not have a juicer then use a blender and strain the fiber out or drink it with the fiber if you want. I usually use all organic:

1 apple [red variety not green]

1″- 2″ piece of fresh ginger or 1/2-1 tsp of powdered ginger

1/2-1 tsp of powdered turmeric or 1″-2″ piece of fresh turmeric

8-12 oz of spring water

It can be stronger or weaker depending on one’s preference. You can liven it up by adding pomegranate or blueberry juice and sparkling water instead of spring water and a sprig of mint!

A recent simple peanut butter cookie – makes 7 cookies about 2.5″ size:

1/2 cup organic almond [or other nut] flour [healthiest is buying nuts in shells, crack them, and grind in a blender because nuts without shells can have pesticides or be chemically pasteurized – organic ones, too!] https://eluxemagazine.com/culture/articles/health-dangers-of-nuts/

1/4 cup organic peanut butter – smooth or creamy [or other nut butters]

1/8 cup organic coconut nectar or maple syrup or fresh apple juice [Coconut nectar is low glycemic and does not spike insulin and has more nutrition in it. Coconut sugar does this, too. Still, do not use much.]

  • you can add 1-2 tsp of powdered ginger or fresh ginger juice [from juicing] to make ginger p’nut snaps

Blend all together well. Roll into balls and put on parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Use a fork to push it down in a couple of directions to flatten and round it. It all began when researchers at Ben Gurion University of the Negev discovered last year that the lemon aroma in herbs like lemon grass kills cancer cells in vitro, while leaving healthy cells unharmed. “In each cell in our body, there is a genetic program which causes programmed cell death. When something goes wrong, the cells divide with no control and become cancer cells. In normal cells, when the cell discovers that the control system is not operating correctly – for example, when it recognizes that a cell contains faulty genetic material following cell division – it triggers cell death,” explains Weinstein. “This research may explain the medical benefit of these herbs.”

The success of their research led them to the conclusion that herbs containing citral may be consumed as a preventative measure against certain cancerous cells. [Citral is the key component that gives the lemony aroma and taste in several herbal plants such as lemon grass (Cymbopogon citratus), melissa (Melissa officinalis) and verbena (Verbena officinalis.)]

That’s why Zabidov’s farm – the only major grower of fresh lemon grass in Israel – has become a pilgrimage destination for these patients. Luckily, they found themselves in sympathetic hands. Zabidov greets visitors with a large kettle of aromatic lemon grass tea, a plate of cookies, and a supportive attitude.

“My father died of cancer, and my wife’s sister died young because of cancer,” said Zabidov. “So I understand what they are dealing with. And I may not know anything about medicine, but I’m a good listener. And so they tell me about their expensive painful treatments and what they’ve been through. I would never tell them to stop being treated, but it’s great that they are exploring alternatives and drinking the lemon grass tea as well.” He also felt a responsibility to know what to tell his customers about its use. “When I realized what was happening, I picked up the phone and called Dr. Weinstein at Ben-Gurion University, because these people were asking me exactly the best way to consume the citral. He said to put the loose grass in hot water, and drink about eight glasses each day.”


Scientists working under the patronage of the University of Michigan affirm that ginger root can be implemented in treating ovarian and prostate cancer, with results that compete those of conventional chemotherapy, since it involves no toxicity at all. Evidently, almost 300 years of constant use in medicine have not been wasted.

In fact, ginger, among other herbal remedies used throughout the world, has long been widely considered an excellent anti – inflammatory and an antidote for nausea. However, during a session of the American Association for Cancer Research, researchers announced some rather interesting results pertaining to ginger’s possible use in cancer treatment: according to them, each and every time ginger powder was used against cancer cells, they were all destroyed, and rather quickly actually, causing what scientists call an “apoptosis” – a process that leads to the cancer’s cell total self – destruction. What’s equally intriguing is that ginger causes cancer cells to attack one another, a phenomenon known as “autophagy”.

Thus, whereas ginger has been considered till now an excellent aid for cancer patients going through chemotherapy, it seems it can also prove helpful for treating ovarian and prostate cancer. Namely, a certain research has shown that ginger has the remarkable ability to treat ovarian cancer. According to the research’s findings, ginger is capable of slowing down the cancer cell’s growth and control the production of angiogenic factors in ovarian cancer cells. Angiogenic factors are a group of substances that play an important role in blood vessel formation. In cancer cells, they augment the tumor’s growth. Thus, ginger could be used in our effort to effectively treat or even prevent ovarian cancer from appearing in the first place.

Ginger seems to be equally effective against prostate cancer. According to a research conducted by American scientists and published in the reputable British Journal of Nutrition, ginger extracts were used to destroy human prostate cancer cells, whereas healthy neighboring prostate tissue was left unharmed. Equally fascinating is that whole ginger extract managed to shrink cancerous prostate tumors by a staggering rate of 56 %!   


During my recovery back home, I thought about what my future would look like, and when I thought about chemotherapy, I was conflicted. Instinctively, the idea of poisoning my way back to health did not make sense. I didn’t want to do it, but I didn’t know what else to do. So I did what most people do when they are desperate. I prayed. My wife and I sat down on the couch and prayed together. I asked God that if there were another way besides chemotherapy that He would reveal it to me.

Two days later, a book arrived on my doorstep, sent to me from a man in Alaska whom I’d never met, a friend of my dad. That book was written by a man who claimed he had healed his colon cancer nearly 30 years prior using only nutrition–a raw vegan diet and tons of juicing, especially carrot juice. I knew it was the answer to my prayer.

Skipping Chemo in Favor of Raw Fruits and Veggies

I began to read and research the known causes of cancer and learned that environmental toxins, an unhealthy diet and lifestyle, and stress were all key health-destroying factors. I realized that my nutrient-deficient diet of processed food, fast food, junk food, and factory-farmed animal products was poisoning and polluting my body. I also came to understand that my thoughts, attitudes and emotions were toxic as well.

As I researched chemotherapy, I discovered that it was much worse than I had been lead to believe. Chemotherapy temporarily reduces some cancerous cells in the body, but my research showed that it could also destroy the immune system; make cancer stem cells more aggressive; cause secondary cancers; cause permanent damage to the brain, liver, kidneys, lungs, heart; and would likely make me infertile. That’s when I decided against chemotherapy. I chose to overdose on nutrition instead, giving my body everything it needed to repair, regenerate, and detoxify. I immediately adopted a raw vegan diet, eating only fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts, and drinking eight glasses of fresh vegetable juice every day.


However, an article published this week in the journal PLOS Biology cites internal documents by the Sugar Research Foundation (SRF), suggesting that knowledge of a possible link between sugar and cancer goes back as far as the 1960s.


And it’s an addiction with consequences, Dr. Cantley notes. A diet high in sugar is a known risk factor for health problems including obesity and diabetes—a risk that reducing sugar intake seems to mitigate. But according to an accumulating body of research by Dr. Cantley and his team at Weill Cornell Medicine, excess sugar also helps many to grow more rapidly.


It’s an ancient grain that has never been hybridized, meaning it’s the same now as it’s always been. This is not the case with wheat found on most store shelves today….Any time a change is made to a plant, the resulting seed, flower or fruit changes too. Gardeners know that you change the fertilizer and the fruit can be sour. If the soil lacks a nutrient, the yield is poor or nonexistent……because Einkorn is not hybridized, the original DNA structure remains intact and actually helps the body to digest these gluten proteins properly….It means that people who are gluten sensitive or gluten intolerant are often able to consume Einkorn.

a. One strategy a doctor who focuses on nutrition for healing suggests is a tiered strategy for slower change if one is having trouble with a more radical change. Get organic as much as possible as the pesticides in non organic foods are a burden on an unhealthy body. Educate yourself on what is healthy vs what is not through reputable websites with information on specific health problems and how to heal with the right nutrition.

b. Lower the cooking temperature to preserve more nutrition and cook it longer. Bake at a lower temp and do not fry. Be ok with less crispy for your health. Do not burn food as that can cause cancer. Experiment. Try dehydrating. Do not use low temperature oils for higher temperature cooking. Look for the temperature recommendations on oil bottles. Once an oil reaches smoke point it is not healthy anymore. Eat healthier oils or learn not to use them. Eat more omega 3 vs omega  6 oils. American diets are very inflammatory in part from the high omega 6 oils.




c. Instead of wheat flour try Einkorn wheat or gluten free options. Healthy Flour Company sells organic sprouted flours including einkorn and other sprouted organic items. Sprouting is a healthier option. Einkorn.com sells fresh ground organic einkorn flour but not sprouted at this time.



d. Recipes. There are many sites with recipes for vegetarian, vegan, raw vegan, juicing, smoothies, and understanding healthier eating. Use less commercially prepared items and instead make from scratch for greater health benefits.
