Why CHRIST Calls: the Open Door Community and Catholic Workers

“During their three years in Greenville, Rob and Carolyn were increasingly frustrated by
the attitude of people within the local church. Rob relates that he and Carolyn kept
“finding ourselves the token do-gooders paid by the church to do this social work.” The
people of the church did not want to be personally involved with the poor. They were
satisfied to give money so that others could “manage” those problems. This approach
kept them distant from the poor. The best thing to do with the poor was to leave them in
the hands of experts, such as Rob and Carolyn were perceived to be, and mind one’s own business. The poor were objects of charity rather than persons who in justice should be enabled to fully participate in the life of the community. This attitude stood in direct opposition to Rob and Carolyn’s convictions formed by the new left critique and their Christian faith. They saw personal involvement with the poor and systemic change as inseparable components of Christian life and social action. The Christian faith led to
charity for those in need, but it also demanded work to end the injustice which caused
need. To separate charity and justice, the private and the public, seemed Biblically and
morally incoherent.”

I encourage you to read the above ebook on the homeless and what one community organization did and does that models itself after the disciples of CHRIST as well as the parent organization behind it. While I may not agree with all they believe in or do [I have not agreed with any organization/denomination 100%, so far] it looks like they accomplish a great deal of good per what YAHSHUA/JESUS asked of us. It helps give one a different perspective, such as, how do you think you would feel begging for what should be everyone’s basic rights/needs as a human being [shelter, food, clothes, phone – communication, bus – transportation, work, etc]? I know some about this because I have been living it.

Another question it provokes is, how close are churches and their congregations to walking in CHRIST’S shoes and do they realize they will be accountable one day to the KING HIMSELF for all actions? “What we do for the least of these we do for HIM” as well as “what we do not do for the least of these we do not do for HIM” are both in Scripture [Matthew/Mattityahu 25:31-46] and HE obviously takes it that personally!

YAHSHUA/JESUS told us to get involved personally by doing HIS work: feed the hungry, give drink to the poor, give clothes to the naked, visit the sick and imprisoned, give hospitality to strangers, throw a banquet for the poor/sick/lame, help the widow and orphan, sell possessions to help the poor and follow HIM, do unto others as you would have done to you. If we do not do this personally then we do not know or understand the true meaning of HIS words. Giving is easy but getting involved is a different matter and can be life changing!

Only ELOHIM/GOD knows who HE will be using for the changes HE wants to enact in HIS Will and Desire. May this information help move you into action to do more of HIS Will and Desire! Please pass this onto whomever you feel led.

Dream: a huge growing mountain and water engulfing many!

Around 2 weeks ago, give or take a few days, I dreamed about a large mountain that started sprouting up maybe half way around the world from where I was as I was looking across the sea. The mountain was large and stopped growing but then it started growing again and it looked like it doubled in size. It was huge! I saw people living their daily lives as if there was no change but they were literally underwater because of this mountain and they did not recognize that they were underwater – meaning they were in trouble and they did not know it! Reminds me of the people during the time of Noah. They laughed at him and thought all was good until the rains came. So this big mountain is causing a big problem for these people but they do not recognize it, yet.

I do not understand fully what this dream means yet but I believe the “underwater” to be a figurative meaning mainly. The people could not tell that anything had changed around them yet the change was so radical and obviously affected them so that I felt it was impossible not to see it. It is also possible there may be a literal “underwater” meaning as well for some.

Will post more if something else comes to me.

What would we do if something like the monster from the movie “Rodan” showed up here in America or elsewhere around the world? Or something like an armor plated box on telescoping legs? I had a strange dream about a creature that looked like the previous sentence then I saw/heard the name “Rodan”. Maybe ELOHIM [Hebrew word for GOD and who I believe is FATHER/SON/HOLY SPIRIT] will have mercy and will send a baby first. Maybe HE will be less merciful and send the parent if we do not repent!

This happened last year 6/2014. “Swarms of giant moths have descended on Malaysia, invading homes and even disrupting a national football match.” ELOHIM is tired of us focusing on worldly things and not on HIM! Do you love football more than HIM? What has your spouse done to get you away from a football game? What do you think ELOHIM/GOD would do?

Orthodox Jewish Bible – Job 38:22 Hast thou entered into the otzrot (storehouses) of the snow? Or hast thou seen the otzrot of barad (hail),

BTW, tzar means being in a “distress or being in a tight, constricting place”.

The Land of Israel is dependant on rain for God’s blessing. The sages consider rain a gift of God’s “Chesed” – lovingkindness. Water is the life-giving and life-sustaining force and it is given in a form that is immediately useful.

Snow, however, is “Frozen water,” and is not immediately useful. We don’t see it as a sign of Chesed. It actually is a sign of Divine Justice or Judgement. God is ‘holding back” (Gevura) part of the blessing of the water. Continue reading →

     SPEYER, Germany — Islam continues to grow in power and influence across Europe. But at a recent concert in Germany, one Christian woman decided to stand up to it.

    “The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace” by Welsh composer Karl Jenkins was supposed to be an interfaith event to bring Christianity and Islam together.

    But when the Muslim imam began his call to prayer during the concert, he was interrupted by a small woman in the balcony proclaiming that “Jesus Christ alone is Lord of Germany,” and shouting, “I break this curse.”

    She also invoked the name of Martin Luther and warned the audience that what was happening was “a lie.”

    The video went viral.

    ‘Brave German Woman’

    The mysterious Christian lady became known on the Internet simply as the “brave German woman.”

    It happened on Nov. 10, 2013 at the Memorial Church of the Reformation in the Rhineland city of Speyer, built to honor Martin Luther.

    It isn’t just any church. It’s a monument to the Protestant Reformation and a memorial to the spiritual transformation of Germany.

    It was at this spiritual landmark that a Muslim imam was invited to give the call to prayer. When the brave German woman, whose real name is Heidi Mund, heard about the event, she prayed.

    “I was asking Jesus, ‘Lord, shall I go there?’ So, when I have to drive one and half hours, you know, I think, ‘Is it worth it to go or can others go?’ So, this is human laziness, yeah?” Mund recalled.

    She grabbed her German flag emblazoned with the words “Jesus Christ is Lord” and headed for the concert, still not sure what she would do when she got there.

    “Until the imam started with his shouting, I did not really know what to do. I was just prepared for what God wants me to do,” she told CBN News.

    Then the Muslim call to prayer began, and Heidi said she felt something rising up inside her.

    A Holy Anger

    “I would call it a holy anger,” she recounted. “And then I rose with my flag and I was calling and proclaiming that Jesus Christ is Lord over Germany.”

    “My purpose was, I broke this curse because [Muslims] say, ‘Only Allah is the Lord. He is God, the only God.’ And I broke this curse in this church and I broke it over my country,” she continued.

    And she repeated the words of Martin Luther in 1521 after he refused to recant his faith in scripture alone: “Here I stand. I can do no other” and “Save the church of Martin Luther!”

    Video shows another concert-goer trying to calm her by saying, “This is a concert for peace.”

    Mund can be heard responding in German, “No it’s not! Allahu Akbar is what Muslims scream while murdering people! Don’t be fooled! Don’t be fooled! This is a lie!”

    She was thrown out of the church.

    “They should have thrown the imam out and not me because I am a believer in Jesus Christ, but he serves another god. This Allah is not the same god. And this is not the truth.”

    “This ‘allahu akbar,’ they use it when they kill people,” she argued. “This is, for me, worship to an idol, to their god. And when a Muslim calls ‘allahu akbar’ in a church, that means this church is not a church anymore, it’s a mosque.”

    Church No Place for Imams?

    With Mund at the concert was Kamel, who did not give his full name for safety reasons. Before coming to Germany he lived in the Muslim world.

    Kamel told CBN News that an imam has no place in a church.

    “Islam is one of the reasons for persecution, Muslims have persecuted me. They don´t want me to tell others that Jesus Christ is my Savior.”

    Also with Mund was Marion, who has also asked that her last name not be included. She belongs to a group calling itself the White Rose, which took the same name as the World War II anti-Nazi resistance group shown in the film “Sophie Scholl: the Final Days.”

    “Islam is inhuman, the same as in the Nazi time. For me, personally, there is no difference. We want to show Germany and the world that we will not bow down to the slow Islamization of our country,” Marion said.

    Afraid of Muslims?

    Mund said she knows that her first television interview could place her in danger.

    “Many people ask me, ‘Are you afraid of the Muslims?’ And I can only say, ‘No, I’m not afraid of them,'” she told CBN News. “I know my God, the living God of the Bible can protect for me for as long as he wants. When my time is over I will go to him.”

    An evangelist by gifting, Mund grew up an atheist in communist East Germany. But now, as a believer, her burden and her ministry is for the spiritual rebirth of Germany.

    “I feel I have to protect my country and my people. I am only a little woman but I feel I have to protect them,” she said.

    Reviving a Dead Nation?

    Some might associate Germany with the Nazis, but Germany was once a base for world missions, sending missionaries to Africa and Korea and to America.

    Mund is trusting God for a miracle in what is a very wealthy and, some would say, spiritually dead nation.

    “I know nothing is impossible for my God. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing,” she said.

    “From a human point of view I feel our country is lost. It’s already lost. It’s done. Because I see so many changes in the country, in every area,” she continued. “But I trust God that he has a ‘Plan A’ and that my country is not lost and that He will reach us and He will come and change the whole situation.”

    It looked like a chilling scene from a Last Days, anti-Christ-takes-over-the-world disaster movie. Hundreds of Muslims take over America’s most notable church, prostrate on their prayer rugs as their unified chant echoes out in full volume: “There is only one god, he begets not and I bear witness that Muhammad is His only servant and Apostle.”

    Only this was not a movie. This was the scene, last Friday, for the first time in history, at the iconic National Cathedral in Washington, where orthodox Muslim clerics were invited to lead an Islamic prayer service. A congregation of hundreds were lead by an Imam in declaring that “god has no son, that Jesus Christ cannot be his son, and that there is no god like Allah.”

    Only a single middle-age woman jumped up in the middle of the service and shouted, “America was founded on Christian principles. . . . Leave our church alone!” She was escorted quickly out of the church by security guards.

    The National Cathedral in Washington, DC has been an extremely important symbol of the Christian roots of the United States. The cathedral was designated by Congress as America’s “National House of Prayer.” The church has hosted a number of inaugural presidential prayer services, including Franklin Roosevelt and both presidents Bush.

    The Rev. Franklin Graham, son of evangelist Billy Graham, took to Facebook in reaciton to the Muslim prayer service:

    “The National Cathedral in Washington, DC–one of the most prominent Episcopal churches in America–will host a Muslim prayer service to Allah. It’s sad to see a church open its doors to the worship of anything other than the One True God of the Bible, who sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to earth to save us from our sins. Jesus was clear when He said, ‘I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me’ (John 14:6).”

    As of this writing, 80,000 people had “liked” Graham’s post.

    The Islamic service at the cathedral was ostensibly intended to promote interfaith dialogue. Its organizers said that they hoped the service would “help correct some Americans’ misperceptions of Muslims as extremists and reinforce tolerance among faiths.”

    However, it is hard to understand how a Christian church opening its sanctuary for Islamic prayers that renonce Jesus Christ contributes to interfaith tolerance. Muslims would never allow a Christian to preach the Gospel in a mosque. Palestinian Muslims continue to ban all Jews and Christians from praying at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. It would appear that “interfaith dialogue and tolerance” are just more code words calling for Muslims to rise up and conquer.

    The Washington Post reported that the Islamic prayer service was closed to the public because of security concerns. Armed guards checked every person and every bag of those in attendance.

    Islam is growing rapidly around the world, and is now the third-largest religion in the United States, behind Christianity and Judaism, with an estimated 2.6 million American Muslim citizens.

    What is it going to take for people to “wake-up” to the reality of what they should be doing per Scripture instead of living comfortable lives, helping only those that are blood family or friends or who go to their Churches, and being surrounded by never ending possessions that are wasted! I pray to our FATHER in Heaven for whatever is needed for this to end, for the innocent to be rescued and healed, for right-ruling to happen, for the ones persecuting to be blessed with whatever wake-up is needed for them to be saved and not perish forever.     Can you have sex with them, even prepubescent girls? Yes, according to the Islamist extremist group.
