Below is a well written piece by a minister from the United Kingdom named J. John Canon. He is an excellent and thought provoking speaker. I felt this piece below was appropriate to pass on considering halloween is coming up. I used to celebrate halloween, in fact, it was my favorite holiday – I loved it! After reading what J. John wrote about how it dishonored ELOHIM [Hebrew word for GOD and who I believe is FATHER/SON/HOLY SPIRIT] and the further investigation I did on its roots, I decided to throw out all my halloween decorations and not celebrate it anymore because I wanted to show ELOHIMGOD I loved HIM more than what is of HIS enemy: death, darkness, evil, wickedness, witchcraft, magic, the undead, blood lust, lust, fear, torment, horror, deceit, trickery, superstition, uncleanness, curses, and pagan ways – all of which halloween celebrates. There is nothing of Life, Light, Goodness, Truth, Forgiveness, Love, Peace, Righteousness, Mercy, Compassion, Wholesomeness, Cleanness, Blessings, and ELOHIM’S/GOD’S Way involved at all in that celebration! Deception of the enemy – there are no such things as “ghosts”: Demon attachment and possession of homes and objects and us
When buying our house in Baton Rouge, we were told by the previous homeowners that they had “ghostly occurrences” happen such as hearing a baby cry and that the first homeowners had a history of mental illness. Anything labeled today as mental illness is a deception of the enemy and what I believe is going on [and Scripture backs up] is that demons/unclean spirits are afflicting/inhabiting the person and/or controlling our emotions/mind through chemical imbalances, oppression, and/or possession. My story – part 1 – early days
Many times I feel it is difficult to deal with what I have seen and continue to see with this walk I have been on and I pray to our ABBA [FATHER] in Heaven for whatever I need, or call out to the MESSIAH/CHRIST and HIS NAME YHWH/YAH for help, and ask for HIS LIVING WATER [the HOLY SPIRIT]. Because of my choice of the Narrow Way and Door and giving my life for the MESSIAH’S work, I have been in an intense “on the job training program” which has been humbling and full of many sorrows, suffering, much learning, and blessings, too. I feel I have been sifted and am being proved and I believe I have even grieved and angered FATHER, SON, and HOLY SPIRIT because of poor choices, but I believe ELOHIM loves me enough to keep working on me until I finally learn what I need to! I want to give my KING a perfect gift because of all HE, the MESSIAH, went through for me! HE is ELOHIM’S Gift [John – Yochanan – 4: 10] to all who believe in HIM! Distractions by the enemy: cell phones, texting, radios, talking-thoughts-sleepiness, and earphones
I wanted to share a few thoughts and tell you about some things that happened to me and others. Shortly after I turned my life over to Elohim (Hebrew for God), I felt HIM work on me about giving up using a cell phone while driving. HE also brought to my attention about how car radios, texting, people talking, and many other distractions including using ear phones while walking can all cause one to be involved in accidents ranging from minor to taking lives.
