While I have studied a good part of the Bible, I have primarily focused on learning the truth about ELOHIM [Hebrew word for GOD and who I believe is our FATHER in Heaven, HIS SON, and HIS SET-APART [HOLY] SPIRIT] and HIS way and what pleases HIM and also to know the deceptions of HIS enemy and their ways and how they hurt us. I have looked over some prophecy and have found some things of interest but I have not focused on it as I have these other areas. I do believe we are somewhere in the time of the end, but whether that means it is 1, 10, or 100 years until the MESSIAH returns I do not know. I do believe that ELOHIM has been trying to get our attention through all these storms, earthquakes, and other disasters we have been facing and are being humbled by. This Friday we face an asteroid. Pastor Jim Staley of a Passion for Truth Ministries shares from his heart a call to prayer and fasting tonight to Friday night [see video link below]. He is asking for us – both Jew and Gentile – to humble ourselves and fall on our knees in prayer to our Father in Heaven. He says we have been living a partially or non successful spiritual life with people scared of the Holy Spirit. He feels the Father wants a revival worldwide. Handling halloween wisely – J. John Canon

I felt this piece below was appropriate to pass on considering halloween is coming up. I used to celebrate halloween, in fact, it was my favorite holiday – I loved it! After reading what J. John wrote about how it dishonored ELOHIM [Hebrew word for GOD and who I believe is FATHER/SON/HOLY SPIRIT] and the further investigation I did on its roots, I decided to throw out all my halloween decorations and not celebrate it anymore because I wanted to show ELOHIMGOD I loved HIM more than what is of HIS enemy: death, darkness, evil, wickedness, witchcraft, magic, the undead, blood lust, lust, fear, torment, horror, deceit, trickery, superstition, uncleanness, curses, and pagan ways – all of which halloween celebrates. Deception of the enemy – there are no such things as “ghosts”: Demon attachment and possession of homes and objects and us
When buying our house in Baton Rouge, we were told by the previous homeowners that they had “ghostly occurrences” happen such as hearing a baby cry and that the first homeowners had a history of mental illness. Anything labeled today as mental illness is a deception of the enemy and what I believe is going on [and Scripture backs up] is that demons/unclean spirits are afflicting/inhabiting the person and/or controlling our emotions/mind through chemical imbalances, oppression, and/or possession. George Muller – German Evangelist in the 1800’s
I had a friend tell me about this man and I read the Wikipedia information on him which I have included below. I encourage you to read his whole story. What is especially of interest to me is his faith in Elohim’s (Hebrew word for God) providing for him and those in his charge. I have struggled with wanting to be led by HIM and trying to let HIM lead, but then I get worried or impatient if something doesn’t happen in my timing, and I move forward on my own and then wonder if I have angered HIM or if HE has had it with me and my lack of trust. I was 21 and looking to get out of the “emotional black hole” that was my parent’s house that I felt was sucking the life from me. I had just started dating and was naive and emotionally/socially immature because of lack of socialization and how my mother schooled me. My story – part 1 – early days
Many times I feel it is difficult to deal with what I have seen and continue to see with this walk I have been on and I pray to our ABBA [FATHER] in Heaven for whatever I need, or call out to the MESSIAH/CHRIST and HIS NAME YHWH/YAH for help, and ask for HIS LIVING WATER [the HOLY SPIRIT]. Because of my choice of the Narrow Way and Door and giving my life for the MESSIAH’S work, I have been in an intense “on the job training program” which has been humbling and full of many sorrows, suffering, much learning, and blessings, too. I feel I have been sifted and am being proved and I believe I have even grieved and angered FATHER, SON, and HOLY SPIRIT because of poor choices, but I believe ELOHIM loves me enough to keep working on me until I finally learn what I need to! I want to give my KING a perfect gift because of all HE, the MESSIAH, went through for me! HE is ELOHIM’S Gift [John – Yochanan – 4: 10] to all who believe in HIM! I want to love and worship HIM only in Truth for who HE is, not what I want HIM to be or who others think HE is. This goes for HIS ABBA and the HOLY SPIRIT, too. Continue reading
Distractions by the enemy: cell phones, texting, radios, talking-thoughts-sleepiness, and earphones
I wanted to share a few thoughts and tell you about some things that happened to me and others. Shortly after I turned my life over to Elohim (Hebrew for God), I felt HIM work on me about giving up using a cell phone while driving. HE also brought to my attention about how car radios, texting, people talking, and many other distractions including using ear phones while walking can all cause one to be involved in accidents ranging from minor to taking lives. So, who do you love???
“Behold my servant with whom I am pleased, my beloved one, in whom my soul rejoices; I will put my Spirit upon Him , and He will preach justice to the peoples. And in His name will the Gentiles find hope.” – Mattityahu [Matthew] 12:18,21. This Gentile thanks her ELOHIM [the word for GOD in Hebrew] daily, all three of HIM as shown in the verse above, because HE is my beloved whom everything I have is from. HE is amazing!!! Every time I start getting overwhelmed HE reminds me that HE is watching out for me. Two days ago, the spiritual warfare I was dealing with in the morning was getting to be too much and I told HIM I was tired and that I just wanted to rest in HIS arms and have HIM hold me. Shortly after when I was in my car driving, a van pulled in front of me with a Bible verse written across the back doors from Mattityahu [Matthew] 11:28 – “Come to me, all you who labour and carry burdens, and I will give you rest.” I love HIM dearly!!!
